Sadhvi

Sadhvi lamp photo: a cube-shaped shoji lamp sitting on one of its points in a triangular base. The frames are made with mahogany and walnut. The faces of the lamp portion are backed with translucent washi, traditional Japanese paper. The glow of the bulb within can be seen.

Mahogany and walnut

This playful lamp, an exploration of the cube, sits freely in its triangular base. Made for my good friend, Sadhvi, it was the first time I experimented with truncation, resulting in a cascade of ideas inspiring future lamps.
